SpeakGator (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we may collect, why we collect it, and your rights.

Account data

  • Email and identifiers needed to authenticate and maintain your account (when you create/use an account).

App usage content

  • Messages and interactions inside the app (for example, practice conversations), exercise history, and preferences.

Audio (if you use voice features)

  • Audio snippets sent for transcription/feedback.
  • We may store transcripts and technical metadata (e.g., duration) to provide the feature.

Technical data

  • Information such as device type, app version, crash logs, and aggregated usage metrics.

2) How we use data

  • Provide the service (login, chat functionality, corrections, and feedback).
  • Improve the app (performance, bug fixes, answer quality).
  • Security and abuse prevention.
  • User support (handle requests and issues).

When applicable, we process data based on:

  • Contract performance (to provide the app).
  • Consent (e.g., voice features, when required).
  • Legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, and improvements, when appropriate).

4) Sharing with third parties

We may share data only with providers required to operate SpeakGator, such as:

  • Infrastructure and storage (hosting, database).
  • Authentication (e.g., login).
  • AI/voice services (to generate corrections, transcribe audio, synthesize voice), when you use those features.

These providers act as processors and must follow confidentiality and data protection obligations.

5) Retention and deletion

We keep data for as long as necessary to:

  • provide the service;
  • comply with legal obligations; and/or
  • resolve disputes and ensure security.

You can request account deletion and removal of associated data (when possible) through support channels.

We use technical and organizational measures to protect data. Still, no system is 100% secure.

SpeakGator is not intended for children without supervision. If you believe a child submitted personal data, please contact us.
